Let’s Be “Real”

None of us have it all together. We all make mistakes. We all have faults. We all have something about us that we would like to change whether it is in our appearance or our hearts or our mind. We all have something we struggle with or skeletons in our closet that we wish we didn’t have to deal with or that we don’t want others to know about. When we give those to Christ, he will help us deal with them and show us ways we can use them to help others.

Christ is the only person that had it all together. He died for us so that we can overcome our faults and use our weaknesses to help others. When we allow our weaknesses to be used to reach others, others can look past us and our imperfections and see the Christ, the only one that has ever been perfect.

Through Christ, we can look forward to attaining perfection in heaven. So for now let’s be real and relate to those that may need a friend to get them over their own imperfections. We can all be imperfect together that we might all be perfect in heaven where we will finally “get it all together”.

Need a Friend?

God created us to be a companion. He wants us to fellowship with Him. Jesus can be and wants to be our friend. He is like no other. He is all knowing and can take us to levels higher than any friend. He can bring us through any valley no matter how low our circumstance. Why would anyone want to turn away that kind of friend? Why not ask Him to be your friend today?

Messy Lives

GodĀ  wants to be a part of your life but He will not force himself on you. He wants you to prosper and have a good life. It does not mean you have to be a radical Christian and be in church 10 times a week. It means He want to have a relationship with you where you tell Him your heartaches and He heals your sorrows and guides you to make decisions that are wiser than you can make on your own. Sometimes those decisions don’t make sense at the time but they work out to the good of those who love Him.

If you have made decisions that have made a mess of your life, God wants to help you clean it up. He takes big messes and small messes and makes something beautiful. If you are tired of dealing with the mess, simply ask God if He can do any better than you and that you want His help to make life better. He realizes you want to do it on your own, but He knows so much more about you than you know of yourself. He knows your hearts desire and what you want even before you ask. He does not give without us asking and He will not help without us inviting.

God has created all things and has the power to give and the power to take away. He has the power to run our life but He won’t do it. He allows us the free will to mess it up if that is what we want to do. We can be stubborn until the thief destroys us or we can choose to have life and have it in abundance but it comes down to our choice.

God loves you so much that His dying on the cross has relieved you from following rules to just enjoying the relationship with Him that is available for the asking.

God Has A Plan For You

Get as much out of life (church, devotionals, prayer time, Sunday school, etc) that will make a positive difference in your relationship with Christ and ultimately your life. If you maintain a relationship with Him, you will be happier than you could ever be without Him. No matter what you experience in life, He will be there to help you through it. He will give you your life desires if you are willing to accept all that He has planned for you. So many think they have a better plan but you won’t find a better one than His. You will get out of life what you put into it. You will be better equipped to achieve goals that are meaningful and that will last.
We all have improvements that need to be made. God continues to help us make those improvements if we walk in His steps. I want to be in His steps and I pray you will seek to do the same. Each step starts by asking for His help. If you are walking in His steps pray for yourself that you will not be distracted by the things the world (Satan) uses to draw us away and pray for your peers that their distractions will not lead them down the wrong path. May God Bless you in your journey and your story. May your story be the beautiful one that God has planned for you.
