Can Brokenness Be Healed?

We all want to be tough. Sometimes when we look tough on the outside, others can see the brokenness inside. As our kids grow, they want to be independent. They act tough because they want their parents and peers to think they can handle life on their own. God did not create us to handle life on our own. He created us to need Him and others. We try to protect our kids. We wish we could bandage the brokenness they have like we use to bandage a scraped knee but as they get older, the wounds get so much deeper. We need a God, a heavenly parent to heal our wounds and to allow Him to heal the wounds of our children.

Have You Taken Time To Be Still Lately?

The Most Beautiful Rainbow

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it’s harder every time.
You’ll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.
You’ll fight with your best friend. You’ll blame a new love for things an old one did.
You’ll cry because time is passing too fast, and you’ll eventually lose someone you love.
So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you’ll never get back.
Don’t be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Psalm 46:10 (AMP)

10 Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!

Read Mark Gregston’s take on being still in this busy world and the pressures of parenting.

Be still and see the Rainbows, Symbols of God’s Promises.

No this next one is not a duplicate.

It seems like the rainbow pictures are endless just as the Promises that God has for us are also endless. Have you read some of His Promises lately or claimed them in your life?

Are You Hiding Anything?

God sees all things. There is nothing we can hide from God. Many times we may hear that still small voice tell us something is wrong or we may feel quilt about something to warn us not to do something or let us know that we have done something wrong.

If we continue to do something that is wrong, our hearts may grow cold to where we don’t hear that voice or feel that guilt anymore. If you find yourself hiding something or sneaking around to do something, you will know that it is wrong.

Addictions have this attribute. Even the addictions that we don’t often think of when we hear that word. Examine yourself to see if you are hiding anything.

If you have to hide something, you probably should not have it.

If you have to sneak to do something, you probably should not be doing it.

There Is A Purpose For Everything

Three reason why we go through things:

  • God’s plan is bigger than ours. Others are watching us.
  •  Discipline – God may be teaching us something.
  • Consequence – We may have done something to get ourselves in a situation.

i.e. The Israelites spent 40 years in the wilderness for doubting God. This is probably an example for all of the reasons.

Three characteristics of deliverance from your situation:

  • It comes in God’s time. His time is always the right time. It may be when you finally “get” it or it may be when all the pieces have fallen where God wanted them.
  • It may come through others. It may be their support, their prayer, or whatever God was wanting to teach someone else.
  • It may come simply through Jesus Christ Himself. He hears our cries. He may have just wanted to hear from us.
