When bad things happen, some people get mad at God and turn away from Him or don’t want to listen to someone talk of how good God is. It should not be God that they get mad at. It should be Satan. Rather than turn from God, they should be turning to God to help them overcome the bad. God can heal their hurts. God is the only one that can make all things work for the good of those that love Him. They should choose to do good which would get Satan back for his evil deed. Why would someone want to turn away from God because that in no way will help matters and it also gives Satan a foothold into their life. This gives him the ability to cause other bad things to unfold. We are instructed to overcome evil with good. Let’s draw closer to God with the things that unfold in our life.

Do We Do Things To Be Accepted Into A Group?
Some of us do things we wouldn’t normally do just to be accepted by the group we are “hanging out” with. If we have to do something against our convictions, it is not worth being accepted by that group. They are not true friends. We should work on making friends that line up with our convictions or above so that we have enough good friends that it won’t matter if we get rejected.
Jesus was rejected but He knew who He was and didn’t need anyone to confirm who He was. We can have that ultimate friend and as long as we have our identity in Christ, the rejections of this world won’t matter and we will be able to stand on our convictions. Those rejections will no longer make such an impact and we will actually be able to like ourselves.
It is easier to like ourselves if we are doing our best and living up to our convictions. When we start liking ourselves and know that God loves us even when we fail, it won’t matter so much if others like us. We will have many friends and we will have the ultimate friend, Jesus. That will be all that matters.
Not Afraid Of Hell?
Satan does not want you to be afraid.
Some think God is a loving God that won’t send anyone to hell. God is a loving God but anyone that ends up in hell won’t be there because God sent them. It will because they chose not to live for God. They chose to do things their own way.
Some talk their way out of situations today so they think they will be able to do it then also. They are able to avoid consequences for their actions on earth so they think it will work out that well at judgment.
Some think they are a good person so they should be OK. We can’t earn salvation. Salvation only comes through Jesus. We can never be good enough or do enough on our own.
Some think it won’t be so bad because they should see friends there. Don’t be deceived. You will be so tormented, you will most likely feel like you are there alone.
If you have any of these views, you are being deceived. God tells us more about hell than heaven. That is not to scare us or threaten us. It is simply to let us know how it is going to be. We will have no excuse for where we spend eternity.
Read the Bible, get to know the Savior, Jesus, and stay in prayer. Jesus wants to be a part of your life. Do these things and you won’t have to be afraid. You can be informed and know where you are going.
