This is a sample prayer. You can use this prayer or pray in your own words. The important aspect of your prayer is that you are sincere. You should acknowledge that you are a sinner and that Christ died that your sins could be forgiven. You need to be sorry for the sins that you have committed and be willing to turn from those sins. You must believe that Christ died for you and was raised from the dead. Accept Him as your Savior and ask Him to guide you so that your life would now honor Him. Thank Him for dying that you can now have eternal life.
Romans 10 (NIV)
9 That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Dear Heavenly Father, I come to You as a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived. I need your forgiveness.
I believe that your Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.
You said that if I confess my sins and believe in my heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, I will be saved.
Right now I accept Jesus as the Lord of my soul. I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to Your Word, I am saved.
Thank you Jesus for saving me from my sins. I ask that you, Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you.
Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
If you said this prayer or a prayer in your own words of confession and repentance and accepted Christ as your Savior with sincerity, you are saved and have eternal life. You should find a bible-based church if you don’t already attend one. You should commit to prayer and Bible reading on a regular basis to maintain your relationship with Christ. You have been baptized in the Spirit and should seek to be water baptized as an outward expression of your obedience to Christ
