He gave His Son. He gave His spotless Lamb. He gave His One and Only. This was and still is His Best. He didn’t give His best so that we could lose, be defeated, or crumble. He gave His best so we could win, conquer, and stand.
He gave his Best because He wants the best for our lives. He wants us to have His promises and His blessings. He wants us to have the life He has planned for us. Even when life doesn’t look the best, He works it out to be the best. Romans 8:28 says, “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him. He appointed them to be saved in keeping with his purpose.”
When the race gets hard, you need to keep running the race. Don’t fall on the side lines. Don’t settle to stay in your circumstance. Stay steadfast and faithful. Better is ahead. The water stop or the downhill grade or the level ground and ultimately the finish line. You don’t finish the race by getting up one day and running. You finish by conditioning daily.
We need to stay in prayer and Bible reading. We need to give God our best. It will never be equivalent or even close to what He has given us, but our best is what He asks for. Our best will be enough when we accept God’s Best to cover us. Accepting Jesus so that His blood covers us will make us acceptable.
