God Forgives our Addictions

It does not matter what you have allowed yourself to get involved in, there is a way out. Go to God. Ask Jesus to forgive you of your wrongs and ask him to help you forgive yourself. Be sincere in your asking because He knows your thoughts but He wants to hear from you and He wants to help you. By being honest with God, you can begin to be honest with yourself. You will be free to live life as God designed it to be lived. God wants you to depend on Him and bring your needs to Him. God will forgive and He will help you forgive yourself. Whatever your habit, take it to God. He can handle anything you bring to Him. He wants you as you are because you cannot ever make yourself good enough on your own. He can deliver you from anything. He can restore and refresh your spirit. Begin today to become more than you ever imagined.

Good and Evil

Our Heavenly Father, we come to you as your children. We thank you for wanting the best for us and offering us so much just for the asking. You own and could control everything. You give us the free will to choose what kind of live we will live. You allow us to choose good or evil. We so often fail in our attempts to do good. We thank you for forgiving us of our failures. You offered your own Son as a sacrifice for our wrongs. We thank you for that even though we are so unworthy. We thank you for  giving us guidance and direction to an abundant life if we choose to follow you. We thank you for the rules that you give us that are there to protect us. We thank you for the strength you give us to follow those rules. We fail in our attempts when we try to do everything in our own strength. You are a God that wants us to depend on you and trust you to take care of us. I pray that you help us to do that. We pray that we would quit trying to do life on our own and depending on our own efforts. We want to do all we can and rely on you to do the things we cannot do. We thank you for working behind the scenes and doing so much on our behave that we do not even see. If we could know what you do for us, we would be overwhelmed and give you so much more praise. Help us to praise you in all things. You are the God of all things. There is nothing that we bring to you that you cannot handle and that you will not help us through.

We pray that you would help those that have been sucked into evil. That they would be able to overcome and turn from their wicked ways that they may experience life as you have planned. You have created us all beautiful and wonderful and have a plan for each of us. You have a plan to prosper us and not to harm us. We pray that we would realize that and want what you have to offer us. Help us to repent of our wrongdoing and follow that narrow path that will give us eternity to worship you and spare us from the weeping and gnashing of teeth that will be our eternity if we do not depend on your son Jesus Christ to redeem us from our sins. We ask that you would restore the time we have spent in evil and reverse all the evil that we have been a part of that you will receive glory for the change that is  made in us and others would be drawn to you through our change. We pray that we would know what you want us to do to lead others to you.

We pray all this in Jesus name, Amen

God is Sooo Big

I thank God for being a God that succeeds when we fail, a God that continues to work when there is nothing else we can do except pray, a God that knows what he is doing when we seem to have no clue, a God that is bigger than anything we go through.

God Teaches

I believe God uses situations to teach people. He teaches those directly involved but he also uses those situations to teach others. I want to learn what He has for me as quickly as He wants me to so that I can get through the battle. I do not want to be the one others are stumbling over. I am so thankful that we have a God that knows what He is doing because I don’t feel like I know what I am doing most of the time. He gives us guidance and fills in where we lack. He knows the right way to get it done. He works all things to good for those that love Him and are called to His purpose.

God uses all to teach us. He uses our experiences. He uses our trials. He using our loved ones. He uses our children. We always thing we are there to teach them. Many times, they are in our loves for God to use to teach us. We don’t always want to be the ones to be taught so we don’t always see this clearly because we as parent think we already know. Well open your eyes the next time your child is going through something and ask God what He is trying to teach you. You may be surprised.

He knows what it will take to teach us. He allows us to go through some tough stuff because He knows what it will take to get our attention and to move us in the direction He is trying to take us.

He is a multitasker. He can accomplish many things through one event. He can work in several lives at one time. If we could see what He was up to when we are going through a trial, we would be rejoicing like His word tell us to. Rejoice in the Lord always.
