Fast Food and Quick Answers

We are living in a time where we want quick fixes. We want a fast food meal. We expect to spend five minutes with God and get through the day or even the week. If we want to see growth in ourselves, it is going to take more than that. It can’t just be something we check off of our to do list or something we do if we have time. We will only get what we put into it.

Our lives are filled with convenience. We have microwaves and text messages, to only mention a few, where we get things like satisfaction and answers quickly. We expect our prayers to be answered like that also. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Our prayers will be answered in His time as always. It is our job to pray without ceasing. When we don’t see the answer in our time frame, we wait until it is God’s time.

Thank You For Knowing All About Us

Psalm 139

Our Heavenly Father, We thank you for creating us. We thank you for protecting us when we aren’t even aware of your presence. We thank you for being there when we call on you even though there are times we don’t seek your face when we should. We pray you would guide us in a way that we would walk in obedience to you. We pray we would seek you for our daily bread. We thank you for the opportunity to feast with family and friends and for all the things you give to us on a daily basis that we take for granted. May your grace and peace be with each of us. In Jesus Name, Amen

Let’s be “Real”

None of us have it all together. We all make mistakes. We all have faults. We all have something about us that we would like to change whether it is in our appearance or our hearts or our mind. We all have something we struggle with or skeletons in our closet that we wish we didn’t have to deal with or that we don’t want others to know about. When we give those to Christ, he will help us deal with them and show us ways we can use them to help others.

Christ is the only person that had it all together. He died for us so that we can overcome our faults and use our weaknesses to help others. When we allow our weaknesses to be used to reach others, others can look past us and our imperfections and see the Christ, the only one that has ever been perfect.

Through Christ, we can look forward to attaining perfection in heaven. So for now let’s be real and relate to those that may need a friend to get them over their own imperfections. We can all be imperfect together that we might all be perfect in heaven where we will finally “get it all together”.

Are We Seeking?

Matt 7

21Not everyone who calls me “Lord, Lord” will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but only those who do what my Father in heaven wants them to do.

If you aren’t earnestly seeking God, you will not know what He wants you to do and therefore will not do it. We must seek and do if we want to enter the Kingdom of heaven.
