What Is The Next Scene In Your Life?

God works out what seems to be small details to confirm our faith. He gives us what we need to remind us that He is involved in the details of our life. When bible studies and worship songs and sermons have similar messages or speak to a personal situation we are facing, it is not coincidence. It is God’s providence and He is putting all the pieces together in our story that will ultimately be part of His story. He has those details in place ahead of time so that when we face what He knew was coming, those details would be there to encourage us. He doesn’t need to wait for something to happen and then put something in place. He is always ahead of the scene.

Do We Do Things To Be Accepted Into A Group?

Some of us do things we wouldn’t normally do just to be accepted by the group we are “hanging out” with. If we have to do something against our convictions, it is not worth being accepted by that group. They are not true friends. We should work on making friends that line up with our convictions or above so that we have enough good friends that it won’t matter if we get rejected.

Jesus was rejected but He knew who He was and didn’t need anyone to confirm who He was. We can have that ultimate friend and as long as we have our identity in Christ, the rejections of this world won’t matter and we will be able to stand on our convictions. Those rejections will no longer make such an impact and we will actually be able to like ourselves.

It is easier to like ourselves if we are doing our best and living up to our convictions. When we start liking ourselves and know that God loves us even when we fail, it won’t matter so much if others like us. We will have many friends and we will have the ultimate friend, Jesus. That will be all that matters.

Not Afraid Of Hell?

Satan does not want you to be afraid.

Some think God is a loving God that won’t send anyone to hell. God is a loving God but anyone that ends up in hell won’t be there because God sent them. It will because they chose not to live for God. They chose to do things their own way.

Some talk their way out of situations today so they think they will be able to do it then also. They are able to avoid consequences for their actions on earth so they think it will work out that well at judgment.

Some think they are a good person so they should be OK. We can’t earn salvation. Salvation only comes through Jesus. We can never be good enough or do enough on our own.

Some think it won’t be so bad because they should see friends there. Don’t be deceived. You will be so tormented, you will most likely feel like you are there alone.

If you have any of these views, you are being deceived. God tells us more about hell than heaven. That is not to scare us or threaten us. It is simply to let us know how it is going to be. We will have no excuse for where we spend eternity.

Read the Bible, get to know the Savior, Jesus,  and stay in prayer. Jesus wants to be a part of your life. Do these things and you won’t have to be afraid. You can be informed and know where you are going.

How Much Effort Are You Putting Into Your Life?

We have way too many people feeling entitled and wanting life easy. If we want to eat then we should have to work. In this life we will have problems. Don’t try to escape from them, confront them. Conquer them and become a better person because of them.

Too many want stuff given to them. They want government handouts, they think parents should continue providing even though they are an adult age and want to be treated and considered adults.

Some feel so entitled that they will steal from businesses and families. It doesn’t matter that the business should be entitled to a profit or that a family member should be entitled to keep their belongings until they want to do something else with it. Their entitlement seems to be all that matters.

Too many want a quick fix. They want things handed to them without any effort. We not only see this with money and stuff but we see it in other areas. They want something as easy as a pill. A pill to help us sleep. A pill that keeps us awake. A pill that gives us energy. A pill that calms our nerves. A pill that calms our children.

As we grow into a nation with this portion of the population growing, our society and economy are being damaged by this mentality.

There is gain with pain. Why can’t people put a little effort into life? When things get tough, we don’t need to try to escape. We can have a friend that will walk through all of life with us and when the problems arise, He will be able to help us through them. Jesus is that friend. Give Him the little problems and He may handle them before they become big. Sometimes we wait to ask for help allowing our problems to become bigger. He will be faithful to help us no matter what problem we have and no matter why we are in the problem even if it is our fault. Just ask Him, he wants to be your friend.
